"The value of tradition"

 

Felsineo and Mortadella both originated in Bologna. This ancient Italian sausage, known and enjoyed the world over, is part of Bologna's long and excellent reputation as a food rich city. It is from Bologna that Felsineo has been producing exclusively Mortadella for more than fifty years.

The business originated as a small specialist pork sausage- producer called Raimondi in 1947 before the company transferred to Zola Predosa, in the province of Bologna in 1965, where we continue to have our headquarters. In the 1970's, an important decision was taken: instead of producing a range of different pork meat products on a small, specialist scale, we decided to turn our dedication and passion exclusively to the production of mortadella, a sector we subsequently became market leader of in the early 1990's. Felsineo as it is today, is the business enterprise of the third generation of the founding family, headed by Emanuela and Andrea, managing director and company president respectively.
